Quito.- Tres presos han muerto y uno resultó herido tras un nuevo enfrentamiento entre bandas de delincuentes ocurrido este martes en la cárcel «La Roca», en la ciudad de Guayaquil, reportó el Servicio Nacional de Atención Integral (SNAI) a Personas Privadas de Libertad.
Mediante un comunicado de la agencia de control penitenciario del Estado, se informó que unidades tácticas de la Policía y de las Fuerzas Armadas, junto a agentes de la SNAI activaron unos protocolos de seguridad para recuperar el control de dicha cárcel.
La operación respondió a unos enfrentamientos registrados al interior del Centro de Privación de Libertad Guayas Número 3, conocido como «La Roca», entre integrantes de la banda conocida como «R7» y los del grupo denominado «Los Lobos».
«Como parte de los incidentes suscitados, una PPL (Persona Privada de Libertad) fue trasladada a una casa de salud. Asimismo, se registraron tres internos fallecidos», confirmó el SNAI en su comunicado.
