República Dominicana. – El mandatario Luis Abinader afirmó este lunes en LA Semanal, que han trabajado para implementar el programa «A comer del campo al colmado», que beneficiará a los ciudadanos para que puedan comprar los productos de la canasta básica a un precio justo.
«Nosotros hemos diseñado este programa a través de una cooperativa de productores y consumidores, esa cooperativa compra al productor directamente, utiliza el Merca Santo Domingo y le vende a una diferencia establecida que solamente será para cubrir los costos del programa al colmado», explicó el presidente.
Dijo que por el momento solo han realizado el plan en la parte oeste del Gran Santo Domingo, es decir, Los Alcarrizos, Pantoja, Palmarejo y Pedro Brand, pero le están dando iniciación en Santo Domingo Norte y luego se expandirá por las grandes ciudades del país.
El mandatario indicó que aún están en la fase de prueba pero que han empezado a dar buenos resultados.
Fernando Durán quien es administrador del Banco Agrícola, expuso que la buena producción que tiene el territorio dominicano en los campos, ellos se encargan de distribuirla a un mínimo costo por vía de los colmados.
«Se ha estimado que alrededor del 60% de la población, sobre todo la de bajos ingresos, se abastece para su alimentación a través de los colmados, en los barrios», apuntó Durán.
Añadió que buscan garantizar al consumidor precios justos y estables, porque una de las cosas que afectan más la economía familiar es la variación áspera en los precios, por lo que están tratando de hacer acuerdos con los comerciantes de los productos básicos.
