El crimen organizado está creciendo a gran velocidad en Europa, impulsado por unos «niveles históricos de narcotráfico», y conlleva cada vez más una «amenaza directa» para la autoridad del Estado en muchos países de Europa, alertó este lunes Interpol.
En su conferencia regional europea número 50, que inició este lunes en Ohrid (oeste de Macedonia del Norte) y concluirá el 10 de mayo, la organización de seguridad supranacional llamó a reforzar «la cooperación policial internacional para hacer frente a la amenaza cada vez mayor que plantean las redes de delincuencia organizada».
«Hay pruebas de que los niveles de violencia relacionados con estas redes delictivas también están aumentando», explicó la institución con sede en Lyon (Francia) en el comunicado de apertura de la reunión.
