El saxofonista de jazz estadounidense Pharoah Sanders, reconocido por sus colaboraciones con músicos de la talla de Sun Ra y John Coltrane, murió este sábado a los 81 años en la ciudad de Los Ángeles, según confirmó la disquera Luaka Bop.
Durante sus cerca de 70 años de carrera musical, Sanders grabó más de 30 álbumes y fue uno de los músicos que impulsó y popularizó un estilo vanguardista en la década de 1960, considerado sumamente emocional, conocido como jazz espiritual.
