Periodistas bolivianos enviarán una carta al vicepresidente de Bolivia, David Choquehuanca, para que se elimine un artículo conocido como “mordaza” de un proyecto de ley por atentar contra la libertad de expresión y por el que se mantienen en estado de emergencia, informaron distintos gremios periodísticos del país.
La Asociación Nacional de Periodistas de Bolivia (ANPB), la Asociación de Periodistas de La Paz (APLP), la Confederación Sindical de Trabajadores de la Prensa de Bolivia y las asociaciones departamentales señalaron que le harán conocer a Choquehuanca, en calidad de presidente de la Asamblea Legislativa, su rechazo al artículo “mordaza”.
En la misiva las asociaciones de periodistas exigen que se elimine el párrafo que hace referencia a la prensa y que se “excluya a los periodistas de la figura penal e incitación al racismo o a la discriminación”, ya que según los gremios “suprime la garantía constitucional de los tribunales de imprenta”.
