Un segundo grupo médico de Cuba de la provincia Holguín, denunciaron ayer el “colapso” del sistema sanitario en esa localidad y exigieron respeto a su trabajo, así como insumos para atender a los pacientes.
El Gobierno cubano respondió con mensajes de apoyo a los médicos, aunque algunos de los denunciantes dijeron que estaban sufriendo represalias en sus lugares de trabajo.
Ayer el diario oficial Granma les dedicó la nota principal de portada. “Gracias a nuestros héroes, médicos, enfermeras, técnicos, personal de apoyo, estudiantes”, indicó el periódico.
Incluso el presidente Miguel Díaz-Canel dijo en Twitter: “Cada vez que nos parezca que estamos cansados, agotados, sobrepasados de este largo periodo de pandemia, pensemos en cuánto han entregado nuestros médicos y enfermeras”.
