Luego de la denuncia que hiciera el periodista Ramón Tolentino, sobre la presunta trama de asesinar a la magistrada Mykarla Rodríguez Abreu, quien actualmente ejerce como Juez del Tribunal Ejecución de la Pena en Montecristi, las autoridades decidieron reforzar la seguridad para proteger su vida.
De manera consensuada la Policía Nacional, a través de la Policía Judicial y el Poder Judicial, ordenaron que le sea reforzada la seguridad, tanto a ella como a sus cercanos.
Según datos suministrados a este medio de comunicación la Coronel Ana Jiménez Cruceta, se puso al frente de la situación, tras recibir las debidas instrucciones de la Dirección General de la Policía Nacional y de la Suprema Corte de Justicia.
Esta medida consiste en que la magistrada pueda continuar su labor en la Justicia, sin ser censurada ni amedrentada al momento de tomar una decisión, tanto en el caso por el cual fue amenazada, como otros casos que contienen ciertas complejidades.
