República Dominicana. – Un temblor de magnitud 4.6 se registró este lunes en la provincia María Trinidad Sánchez, con epicentro a 12.6 Kilómetros al norte-noroeste de Castillo, provincia Duarte.
El movimiento telúrico tuvo una duración de entre tres a cuatro minutos aproximadamente, según informó el Centro Nacional de Sismología de la Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (UASD).

El temblor tuvo además una profundidad de 15.0 kilómetros y fue sentido por una notable cantidad de comunitarios de esa localidad.
Hasta el momento no se han reportado daños notables de infraestructuras ni pérdidas humanas, por lo que este evento no representa peligro.
