El jefe de la Dirección General de Inteligencia del Ministerio de Defensa de Ucrania, Kirill Budánov, aseguró que Kiev planea lanzar nuevos ataques contra Crimea en los «próximos días».
Según sus palabras, en Crimea hay muchas personas que desean que la península vuelva a formar parte de Ucrania. «Hay que darles confianza en que sus esperanzas no son en vano», señaló Budánov. Para ello, es necesario «simplemente eliminar a los ocupantes en nuestra Crimea. Algo que, en principio, ustedes están viendo, y volverán a ver en los próximos días», prometió.
Sus declaraciones tuvieron lugar después de que Kiev por primera vez reconociera oficialmente la autoría del ataque contra el puente de Crimea del pasado 17 de julio, que se cobró la vida de un matrimonio y dejó herida a su hija de 14 años. A mediados de agosto, el Servicio de Seguridad de Ucrania (SBU) incluso proporcionó a la CNN un video que muestra el ataque grabado por el mismo dron de superficie que lo llevó a cabo.
«Los drones de superficie son un invento excepcional del SBU», subrayó en aquel entonces el jefe del organismo, Vasili Maliuk, elogiando los ataques contra el puente y contra el petrolero ruso Sig, este último realizado a principios de este mes.
Por su parte, Budánov también admitió que Kiev estuvo detrás de los ataques contra varias personas públicas de Rusia. «Hemos alcanzado a muchos», afirmó durante una entrevista publicada a mediados de mayo, agregando que hay «casos mediáticos, públicos». Previamente, Budánov declaró que las fuerzas de Kiev «seguirán matando a rusos» en cualquier parte del mundo.
«Aquello que ellos [las autoridades rusas] llaman ‘terrorismo’, nosotros lo llamamos ‘liberación'», manifestó. «Hemos estado matando rusos y seguiremos matando rusos en cualquier parte del mundo hasta la victoria completa de Ucrania», sostuvo en declaraciones hechas a principios de mayo.
