El rechazo
El factor más influyente, en opinión de analistas consultados por la AFP, será el del rechazo. Brasil se partió en dos: antibolsonarismo y antipetismo, en alusión al Partido de los Trabajadores (PT), que comanda Lula, favorito en los sondeos.
El 50% rechaza al mandatario y el 46% al expresidente, según el más reciente estudio de opinión de DataFolha.
Abstencionismo
En la primera vuelta alrededor de 32 millones de brasileños se abstuvieron de votar, el 21% de los electores habilitados. El número quintuplica la ventaja de seis millones que obtuvo Lula sobre Bolsonaro en las votaciones del 2 de octubre (48,4 contra 43,2%).
“La abstención será fundamental”, sostiene Oliver Stuenkel, profesor de la Fundación Getulio Vargas. Quien movilice más apoyos entre los abstencionistas podría inclinar la balanza, aunque esto no depende exclusivamente de las campañas.
La economía
La mayor economía de América Latina comenzó a recuperarse de la crisis pandémica. Entre junio y septiembre el desempleo retrocedió al 8,7%, y para este año se espera un crecimiento del PIB del 2,8%.

Oliver Stuenkel, profesor de la Fundación Getulio Vargas, asegura que “si el PT gana, eso demostraría que la mayor preocupación de la población ha sido la economía; si Bolsonaro gana, será una señal de que el conservadurismo social es el asunto que es visto por la población como el más importante”.
