República Dominicana.- El precandidato presidencial del partido Fuerza del Pueblo (FP), Leonel Fernández, participó en la cena-encuentro que se realizó con motivo de la celebración del 60 aniversario de la Batalla de la Fe, donde afirmó que lo “único perfecto es Dios».
La actividad en la que Fernández compartió con cientos de pastores y ministros de la fe, se realizó la noche de este viernes 28 en el hotel Crowne Plaza. Allí el exmandatario dominicano recibió un reconocimiento por los esfuerzos realizados durante sus gestiones gubernamentales, para apoyar a las iglesias cristianas.
El pastor Ezequiel Molina hijo leyó una placa de reconocimiento que fue entregada a Fernández, por La Batalla de la Fe, la cual establece: “En conmemoración de nuestro 60 aniversario, agradecemos al gobierno del presidente Leonel Fernández, por su apoyo determinante a nuestra labor evangelizadora. Gracias por ayudarnos a llevar esperanza a través del evangelio”.
Al hacer uso de la palabra Leonel Fernández dijo que lo han sorprendido, “yo pensaba que con la cena era suficiente”, estableció, pero que además le hacían entrega de un reconocimiento, que agradecía sinceramente. “lo único que lamento no haber podido hacer más, pero queda pendiente”, precisó el líder de la oposición política dominicana, quien generó aplausos y sonrisas.
Los cientos de guías y ministros de la fe allí presentes, prestaron suma atención cuando Fernández remachó diciendo que más apoyo para las iglesias, “queda pendiente en una eventual agenda de futuro, si así Dios lo quiere”.
Recordó al cantante Carlos Galder, cuando decía que 20 años no es nada, “pero parece que 60 años sí”, para afirmar que, “Justamente estamos aquí celebrando en esta cena de gala, el 60 aniversario de la Batalla de la Fe”.
El presidente de la Fuerza del Pueblo, expresó que al escuchar las palabras de los ministros que le antecedieron y, en especial las del pastor Ezequiel Molina Rosario, pudo notar que, “para llegar a este sitial han tenido que librar grandes batallas, grandes confrontaciones, conflictos, obstáculos. Que han sido todos vencidos por esa fe inconmovible que tiene usted y que tienen todos los feligrese en Dios”.
Finalmente, el líder de la Fuerza del Pueblo aseguró que, “la vida es una mezcla de luces y sombras, nada es perfecto, lo único perfecto es Dios, y yo creo que siempre tiene mucho sentido recordar las palabras de José Martí, el apóstol de la independencia de Cuba, cuando decía: el Sol tiene manchas, el Sol quema con la misma luz con que alumbra, los agradecidos ven la luz, los malagradecidos ven las manchas, y creo que eso sigue siendo válido, tanto para la Batalla de la Fe, como la que libramos nosotros por un mejor futuro en la República Dominicana”.
