República Dominicana.- presidente Luis Abinader, anunció este lunes la autorización para establecer en la República Dominicana el “Sistema de Alerta Amber” con el objetivo de hacer más efectiva las notificaciones a las autoridades de los niños reportados como desaparecidos.
El mandatario conversó con los medios de comunicación tras culminar el acostumbrado encuentro con los altos mandos de la Policía Nacional, donde indicó que este sistema funcionará en el país bajo otro nombre, por lo que esto representa un avance significativo que dará respuesta rápida a los casos que puedan presentarse.
Otro anuncio que hizo el jefe de gobierno, es el de la instalación de más de 69 mil luminarias en sectores requeridos, especialmente en zonas como el gran Santo Domingo, Santiago, La Vega, San Francisco de Macorís, San Pedro de Macorís y La Romana.
Esta iniciativa busca iluminar zonas que se encuentran a oscuras para de esta forma evitar actos vandálicos.
Con relación al paso de la tormenta tropical “Franklin” el presidente aseguró que el país se encuentra preparado para cualquier eventualidad que pueda surgir el paso de este fenómeno.
