República Dominicana. – El abogado Juan José Zapata anunció este lunes que renuncia a sus aspiraciones, para apoyar a Diego José García Ovalle en su candidatura a la presidencia del Colegio de Abogados de la República Dominicana (CARD) para el periodo 2023-2026.
La iniciativa fue acogida tras el jurista García Ovalle encabezar el acuerdo político gremial entre el Partido de la Liberación Dominicana (PLD) y el Partido Revolucionario Dominicano (PRD).
“Estamos aquí para demostrar que unidos somos más fuertes, y que con nuestra alianza no hay quien nos impida llegar a la presidencia del Colegio de Abogados, donde velaremos por la justicia de los que protegen los derechos de la ciudadanía”, expresó el actual candidato García Ovalle durante una rueda de prensa.
Bajo el lema, “Por un Colegio de Abogados más justo para todos”, el especialista en derecho explicó que la alianza tiene como objetivo principal unir el liderazgo político nacional de los abogados de ambos partidos, lo que garantiza la victoria contundente frente a las demás organizaciones políticas, en los próximos comicios.
“Con esta alianza buscamos afianzar nuestra victoria, que evidentemente la obtendremos, de la mano de nuestro compañero el doctor Diego José García Ovalle, a quien apoyamos y velaremos por su triunfo este próximo 2 de diciembre”, declaró el jurista quien pertenece al PRD.
El doctor Diego José García Ovalle fue presidente del Colegio de Abogados de la República Dominicana (CARD) en los períodos 2010-2012 y 2014-2016, lo que evidentemente demuestra la basta experiencia y capacidad para liderar el gremio de los profesionales del derecho en este próximo periodo.
Las elecciones para elegir el nuevo presidente de la CARD se realizarán el próximo 2 de diciembre del 2023.
