República Dominicana. – La Comisión Bicameral que estudia el proyecto de ley que crea la Dirección General de Cuerpos de Bomberos de este país, realizó este lunes una vista pública y escuchó a representantes de Cuerpos de Bomberos de diferentes municipios y distritos municipales y de otras entidades vinculantes en torno a la pieza legislativa.
El senador Bautista Rojas Gómez (Hermanas Mirabal-FP), presidente de la comisión agradeció a los representantes de entidades por acudir al Congreso Nacional para emitir sus puntos de vista sobre la iniciativa. Garantizó que los legisladores están en disposición de aprobar el informe favorable del proyecto antes de concluir el año.
“Agradecemos su presencia y aprovecho la oportunidad para expresarles el compromiso del Congreso Nacional, de dotar a la República Dominicana de una ley que regule la presencia y participación de los Cuerpos de Bomberos en el país. Tenemos la responsabilidad de no solo recordar a los bomberos en los momentos difíciles; vamos a hacer justicia, a legislar, y antes de que concluya este año esperamos tener una ley que regule a los Cuerpos de Bomberos de la República Dominicana”, manifestó el representante de la provincia Hermanas Mirabal.
Fausto Miguel Collado Núñez, representante del Cuerpo de Bomberos de Santo Domingo Oeste, al exponer en la vista pública, agradeció a los senadores y diputados por retomar el estudio de la iniciativa que regulará los 189 cuerpos de bomberos que existen a nivel nacional.
“Queremos dar las gracias por habernos dado la libertad de venir aquí a expresarnos en torno a este proyecto de ley que es de vital importancia para nosotros. Los Cuerpos de Bomberos no sólo tenemos el problema de los bajos salarios, son muchas las dificultades por las que atravesamos, y entendemos que con esa ley una vez estudiada, haciéndole las modificaciones necesarias y finalmente aprobada, podremos tener una mejor calidad de vida, incluso de retiro”, manifestó Collado Núñez.
