Según se aprecia en un video difundido este viernes en las redes sociales, miembros activistas del movimiento antirracista ‘Black Lives Matter’ (‘Las vidas de los negros importan’, en inglés) rechazaron la presencia de un hombre blanco durante una protesta realizada en Mineápolis (Minnesota, EE.UU.).
«Un grupo de manifestantes blancos le dice a la gente que deje de arrojar botellas de agua a la Policía. Una mujer los maldice: ‘Si no puedes ser un invitado en un espacio negro, lárgate de aquí'», reza el tuit que acompaña las imágenes.
Desde otro ángulo y en otra grabación se observa cómo un hombre blanco, con su cabeza cubierta, lanza una botella de agua contra las fuerzas del orden. Es entonces cuando varias personas, entre ellas el hombre posteriormente increpado, tratan de disuadirlo para que no actúe de esa manera.
Un joven afroamericano de 20 años llamado Daunte Wright murió al ser baleado por la agente policial Kim Potter en Brooklyn Center, en el estado de Minnesota, el domingo pasado. La ex agente, que fue acusada de homicidio en segundo grado, salió de prisión al pagar una fianza de 100.000 dólares para ser juzgada en libertad.
La Policía usó gases lacrimógenos, balas de goma y granadas cegadoras para dispersar a los manifestantes que se reunieron frente al Departamento de Policía de Brooklyn Center.
Este hecho provocó multitudinarias protestas en distintos puntos de Estados Unidos.
En el transcurso de la semana pasada llovieron las críticas en contra de Patrisse Khan-Cullors, cofundadora del movimiento Black Lives Matter y autodenominada «líder marxista», al darse a conocer sus gastos millonarios en propiedades inmobiliarias.
