El presidente Luis Abinader asumió desde el Gobierno el compromiso de hacer que el ácido del diablo deje de estar disponible para aquellos que lo usan para lanzarlo sobre los rostros de las personas.
El mandatario dijo querer que “el desgraciado ácido del diablo desaparezca en los próximos meses de la República Dominicana”.
Informó que, con Proconsumidor a la cabeza, un equipo multisectorial se está creando para no permitir que el ácido del diablo siga presente para su adquisición, y que todo el peso de la ley caiga sobre aquellos que lo tengan disponible para la venta.
El director ejecutivo del Instituto Nacional de Protección de los Derechos del Consumidor (Pro Consumidor), Eddy Alcántara, ofreció los detalles sobre la forma en que se proponen atacar el problema.
Explicó que ejecutarán el mismo protocolo que aplicaron contra el alcohol adulterado, junto al Ministerio Público, Policía Nacional y el Ministro de Salud Pública, con quienes se reunirán mañana.
Esta vez, la idea es sacar del mercado todos los productos con los que se fabrica el referido compuesto químico, en cumplimiento de la resolución 104-10 de septiembre del año 2010, la cual estaba siendo violada por los comercios.
Centenares de frascos han sido decomisados, y en lo adelante seguirán una ruta por 14 provincias identificadas como las que más comercializan esos productos. Entre ellas, está Dajabón, Montecristi, Duarte, Salcedo, Espaillat y Hato Mayor.
Por el momento, 47 establecimientos han sido sancionados y se les ha incautado el producto y 106 han sido intervenidos.
