El primer ministro de Polonia convocó con urgencia una reunión del comité anticrisis por la situación con los migrantes en la frontera con Bielorrusia, informó el portavoz del Gobierno polaco, Piotr Muller.
«Se convocó una reunión del comité anticrisis», en la que participarán el primer ministro, Mateusz Morawiecki; el jefe del partido gobernante Ley y Justicia, Jaroslaw Kaczynski; el ministro de Defensa Nacional, Mariusz Blaszczak, y el titular del Ministerio del Interior y Administración, Mariusz Kaminski, dijo.
El portavoz del ministro coordinador de los Servicios de Inteligencia de Polonia, Stanislaw Zaryn, informó anteriormente que Bielorrusia está preparando el paso a Polonia de una gran cantidad de inmigrantes indocumentados.
«Ha empezado el mayor intento de penetración forzosa en el territorio de Polonia», escribió el portavoz en Twitter adjuntando un vídeo en que se ver caminar a centenares de personas, entre las que hay mujeres y niños.
El vicecanciller polaco Piotr Wawrzyk afirmó que las autoridades bielorrusas pretenden escalar la situación en la frontera con Polonia e incluso provocar víctimas mortales.
«Estoy convencido (…) de que las autoridades bielorrusas aspiran a una escalada, a una escalada que causará víctimas mortales».
La Unión Europea afirma que Minsk usa a los inmigrantes como un «arma híbrida» contra la UE después de que Bruselas introdujera medidas restrictivas contra Bielorrusia.
Según los últimos datos, desde principios de este año, alrededor de 30.000 personas intentaron violar la frontera de Bielorrusia y Polonia.
Letonia, Lituania y Polonia denunciaron últimamente el aumento del número de inmigrantes indocumentados en la frontera con Bielorrusia, acusando a Minsk de estar creando una crisis migratoria. En relación con eso, el presidente de Polonia proclamó la situación de emergencia en las áreas del país limítrofes con Bielorrusia y movilizo al Ejército y la Policía para ayudar a proteger la frontera.
El presidente bielorruso, Alexandr Lukashenko, a su vez, declaró que Minsk se niega a seguir conteniendo a los inmigrantes irregulares que intentan llegar a los países de la Unión Europea, porque su país «no tiene ni dinero ni fuerzas para hacerlo», debido a las sanciones occidentales.
Los guardias fronterizos bielorrusos denunciaron en numerosas ocasiones que Letonia, Lituania y Polonia empujan por la fuerza a los inmigrantes hacia el territorio de Bielorrusia.
