El primer ministro de Países Bajos, Mark Rutte, anunciará este domingo el principio de un nuevo confinamiento estricto en todo el país que comenzará desde esta próxima madrugada hasta el 14 de enero, según han comenzado a deslizar los medios holandeses citando a fuentes oficiales.
Rutte está ultimando las medidas con su equipo de gestión del coronavirus tras adoptar el consejo de los expertos para declarar una vez más el cierre casi total de colegios, cines, restaurantes y comercios no imprescindibles, informa el canal de TV NOS.
El tamaño de las reuniones en exteriores se reducirá a un máximo de dos personas y los domicilios solo podrán acoger a dos visitantes excepcto el día de Nochebuena, cuando se permitirá la entrada de cuatro personas ajenas al domicilio. Esta excepción no se aplicaría a la víspera de Año Nuevo.
Además, el país ha registrado en las últimas horas 14.742 nuevos contagios y un promedio semanal de 50 fallecidos al día. Desde el viernes más de 200 pacientes han sido hospitalizados, de los cuales 29 tuvieron que ser ingresados en las UCI.
En términos totales, Países Bajos ha registrado unos 2,9 millones de contagios y más de 20.000 fallecidos por la enfermedad.
