El mercado de criptomonedas se encuentra al borde de un superciclo alcista que impulsaría el crecimiento de los precios de las monedas descentralizadas, según el fundador de la gestora de criptoactivos Quantum Fintech Group, Harry Yeh.
El valor de la criptomoneda principal, el bitcóin podría llegar a los 400.000 dólares este año, que sería un salto de casi el 900 % desde el nivel actual, afirmó el experto a Bloomberg.
Según Yeh, el factor impulsor del crecimiento es que la Reserva Federal, el banco central de Estados Unidos, continuará con inyecciones de dinero aportando a la inflación, por lo que los inversores seguirán buscando protección en las criptodivisas.
El especialista considera que el criptomercado todavía se encuentra en la «etapa de dentición» y lo que se avista ahora es similar al mercado alcista de 2017.
«Nos encontramos ahora en la mitad de un mercado alcista», señaló antes de precisar que la situación actual es «algo más única» por contar con «muchas monedas estables», criptoactivos cuyo valor está ligado al dólar, otra moneda o materia prima.
«Así que estamos viendo lo que podría ser un superciclo donde está ocurriendo la adopción generalizada de las criptomonedas gracias a las monedas estables», expresó.
El bitcóin se cotiza actualmente por encima de los 43.000 dólares. Este mes su valor cayó por debajo de los 40.000 dólares por primera vez desde agosto pasado. El máximo histórico, de 68.789, fue registrado en noviembre de 2021, según CoinMarketCap.
