La Asamblea Nacional de Venezuela exigió al Ministerio Público investigar al opositor Juan Guaidó y establecer las sanciones por el robo de los recursos del país.
Los diputados del denominado Bloque de la Patria (alianza de partidos oficialistas) consignaron el pasado 23 de enero ante la Fiscalía un documento en el que exigieron a ese organismo darle celeridad a la «imposición de justicia» por los daños que Guaidó ha causado a la nación.
«Exigimos, sobre la base de lo previsto en los Artículos 13 y 23 del vigente Código Orgánico Procesal Penal ejercer las acciones que con inmediatez, prontitud y urgencia, hagan del proceso penal seguido al mencionado ciudadano Juan Guaidó y sus cómplices un instrumento inmediato y efectivo, que permita establecer la verdad de los hechos por la vía judicial y la justicia y la aplicación del derecho para las más de 24 causas delictivas que mantiene abiertas», destaca el texto.
Los parlamentarios consignaron el documento tras cumplirse tres años de la autoproclamación de Guaidó como «presidente encargado» de este país sudamericano.
El Gobierno de Nicolás Maduro acusó al exdiputado y sus aliados del robo de la empresa Citgo, la petroquímica colombo-venezolana Monómeros, las 30 toneladas de oro que esta nación sudamericana tiene depositadas en el Banco de Inglaterra y más de 7.000 millones de dólares del Estado que se encuentran bancos extranjeros, y que fueron bloqueados a través de sanciones.
Por su parte, el Ministerio Público abrió contra Guaidó causas por los delitos de: secuestro de recursos, usurpación de funciones, corrupción, legitimación de capitales, instigación pública continuada a la desobediencia de las leyes y malversación agravada.
También es investigado por aprovechamiento fraudulento de fondos públicos, conspiración con gobiernos extranjeros, terrorismo, rebelión, tráfico de armas de guerra, traición a la patria y asociación para delinquir.
