Los ministros de Exteriores de Ucrania y Marruecos, Dimitro Kuleba y Nasser Burita, han hablado este viernes por teléfono de la necesidad de estrechar lazos, dos días después de que el presidente ucraniano, Volodimir Zelenski, ordenase el cese de su embajadora en Rabat.
Zelenski justificó este cese y el del embajador ucraniano en Georgia por la falta de avances en la adopción de medidas contra Rusia como represalia por su invasión de Ucrania. Marruecos no se ha sumado a la ola de sanciones internacionales aprobadas por otros países.
Kuleba, sin embargo, ha dicho que ambos países mantienen «relaciones bilaterales de amistad», en un mensaje de Twitter en el que ha abogado por seguir estrechando lazos en todos los ámbitos, en particular en seguridad alimentaria, comercio y cooperación dentro de organizaciones internacionales.
Para Zelenski, hay personas «que trabajan con todo el mundo para defender al país» y otras que «malgastan el tiempo y sólo están en su oficina». En este último grupo incluyó a los embajadores de Marruecos y Georgia, dos países al margen de las sanciones internacionales.
«Con todo el respeto: si no hay armas, no hay sanciones, no hay restricciones para las empresas rusas, es momento de buscar otro trabajo», dijo Zelenski el miércoles a última hora, en un discurso en el que también reclamó «resultados concretos en los próximos días» a los embajadores presentes en América Latina, Oriente Próximo, Sudeste Asiático y África.
