El Consejo de Europa aprobó el quinto paquete de sanciones contra Rusia, que incluye una serie de medidas destinadas a «reforzar la presión sobre el Gobierno y la economía rusos, y limitar los recursos del Kremlin», informó este viernes la organización.
«Estas últimas sanciones se adoptaron tras las atrocidades cometidas por las Fuerzas Armadas en Bucha y otros lugares bajo su ocupación», puntualizó el alto representante de la Unión Europea para Asuntos Exteriores y Política de Seguridad, Josep Borrell.
Este martes, la presidenta de la Comisión Europea, Ursula von der Leyen, había anunciado la propuesta de estas nuevas medidas restrictivas, entre las cuales figura el embargo a la importación del carbón y el veto a la entrada de barcos rusos a los puertos europeos.
