El juez de Control del Reclusorio Norte, Marco Antonio Fuerte Tapia, dictó prisión preventiva justificada ayer para Jesús Murillo Karam, el procurador general durante la gestión del expresidente mexicano Enrique Peña Nieto (2012-2018), por los delitos de desaparición forzada, tortura y oponerse a la administración de justicia en el caso Ayotzinapa.
De esta manera, el exprocurador deberá permanecer preso hasta el próximo 24 de agosto, cuando se lleve a cabo una segunda audiencia donde se definirá su situación legal y la defensa presentará pruebas a favor del imputado.
De acuerdo a medios locales, el juez pidió esta medida argumentando que el exfuncionario cuenta con los recursos para abandonar el país y no presentarse a la audiencia.
El viernes, la Fiscalía General de la República (FGR) detuvo a Murrillo Karam, quien defendió la «verdad histórica» en el caso de los 43 estudiantes normalistas de Ayotzinapa, desaparecidos entre el 26 y 27 de septiembre de 2014 en Iguala, estado de Guerrero.
