Las autoridades judiciales iraníes liberarán a 715 presos con motivo de la victoria 2-0 en el encuentro Irán-Gales del Mundial de fútbol en Catar del viernes, entre ellos personas detenidas en las protestas que sacuden el país.
La medida fue avisada este lunes por el jefe del Poder Judicial de Irán, Gholamhosein Mohseni Ejei, para celebrar “la orgullosa victoria del equipo nacional de fútbol”, informó Mizan, agencia de noticias de la Judicatura iraní.
Los 715 presos que serán liberados de 12 prisiones del país, y solo afectará a reos que no estén encarcelados por atacar a personal de seguridad, quemado propiedades privadas o quemado coranes.
No obstante, se liberará a personas detenidas durante “los recientes eventos” del país, en una aparente referencia a las protestas que sacuden Irán desde mediados de septiembre.
