El Ejército de Israel ejecutó este lunes un ataque aéreo contra el Aeropuerto Internacional de Damasco y sus inmediaciones en las que murieron dos militares sirios mientras las autoridades árabes comunicaron que posteriormente fueron reiniciados los vuelos.
De acuerdo con medios nacionales sirios, la agresión fue llevada a cabo sobre las 2 de la madrugada hora local con ráfagas de misiles disparados desde la dirección noreste del lago Tiberíades.
En este sentido, fuentes castrenses confirmaron la muerte de dos efectivos sirios mientras otros dos permanecen heridos. El ataque provocó además numerosas pérdidas materiales.
Posteriormente, el Ministerio de Transporte de Siria informó que volvió a funcionar el principal aeropuerto de la capital siria y que a partir de las 09H00 hora local fueron reanudados los vuelos.
A través de un comunicado, la cartera siria señaló que “nuestro personal, en cooperación con las autoridades e instituciones pertinentes, removieron los daños causados por la agresión israelí, y comenzaron a reparar los daños y poner en servicio el aeropuerto”.
