El Congreso de Perú aprobó este lunes la eliminación del polémico voto de confianza al gabinete de ministros, que ha generado más de una tensa situación política en el país suramericano. Sin embargo, la medida deberá someterse a una consulta.
El dictamen, que comprende a los proyectos de ley 206, 306 y 612, recibió 75 votos a favor y 46 en contra. Aunque no obtuvo 87 respaldos –dos tercios del número legal de congresistas, la medida se da por aprobada porque logró 66 adhesiones. No obstante, tendrá que ser ratificada mediante referéndum por tratarse de una reforma constitucional, conforme a lo dispuesto en el artículo 206 de la Carta Magna.
Con esta decisión, el Parlamento busca reformar la Constitución, a fin de suprimir la obligatoriedad que tiene cada gabinete ministerial de solicitar el voto de confianza ante el Legislativo, al ser presentado.
