Las autoridades de Pakistán elevaron este martes a 93 el número de muertos y a más de 150 los heridos, en su mayoría funcionarios de Policía, en el atentado suicida cometido ayer en una mezquita en el noroeste paquistaní, uno de los peores atentados contra las fuerzas de seguridad en este país.
“El número de muertos en la explosión ha llegado a 93″, dijo Asim Khan, portavoz del Hospital Lady Reading de la ciudad de Peshawar, donde ocurrió el atentado, mientras que medio centenar de los más de 150 heridos continúan siendo atendidos en el hospital, algunos de ellos en estado crítico.
El número de víctimas ha ido en aumento en las últimas horas a medida que avanzan las operaciones de limpieza y rescate en el lugar del atentado.
