República Dominicana. – El presidente del Colegio Médico Dominicano (CMD), Senén Caba, convocó a todos los galenos y sociedades médicas especializadas a participar en la Asamblea General Extraordinaria, a efectuarse mañana 1 de febrero, con el fin de dar respuesta a la resolución 563-01, emitida por el Consejo Nacional de la Seguridad Social (CNSS).
Caba indicó que el CNSS, «de manera arrogante, irrespetuosa e irresponsable», desconoció el pliego de demandas emitidas por los médicos.
«Rechazamos el contenido de la resolución de marras que deja todo prácticamente igual», agregó Senén.
El doctor Caba señaló que entre los pedidos que se dejaron fuera de los acuerdos están: la ampliación de la cobertura para el Plan Básico de Salud, la cuota de 8,000 pesos anuales para medicamentos, los pacientes con trastornos mentales, las consultas ambulatorias, la indexación de las tarifas que perciben los médicos especialistas y el aumento a los 500 pesos que cobran los médicos por consulta.
