Catorce presuntos bandidos fueron linchados este lunes por una multitud en Canapé-Vert, en las alturas de Puerto Príncipe, la capital de Haití, país sumido en una espiral de violencia a causa de un sangriento enfrentamiento entre bandas armadas, según medios locales.
La situación se llevó a cabo después de que los catorce hombres fueran interceptados por la Policía en un autobús de transporte público y que se escucharan intensos tiroteos durante toda la noche en Canapé-Vert y otras zonas aledañas.
Algunos videos que circulan en las redes sociales muestran personas que se apresuran a verter gasolina sobre los hombres vivos o incluso muertos, mientras que otras intentan encender neumáticos encima de estos tendidos en el suelo.
Respecto a informes, los hombres llevaban armas y municiones en maletas. «Incendiadlos», «los mataremos uno a uno», grita la multitud alrededor de los supuestos bandidos, de acuerdo con los videos, en los que se ve a policías vigilar la escena.
Más de 100 familias intentaron huir esta mañana de la zona de Turgeau y sus alrededores, al parecer asediados por bandas armadas que por la noche saquearon viviendas.
