Es uno de los grandes misterios del momento en España quién utilizó el Falcon y para qué en 33 vuelos registrados hacia la República Dominicana en los últimos cuatro años.
Según ha confirmado El Debate, el gobierno de Pedro Sánchez sólo asume cinco de esas excursiones y sus escalas técnicas con el mandatario al frente, lo que deja otros 28 desplazamientos al país caribeño en un limbo sorprendente.
27 de esos viajes fueron realizados en los últimos dos años, según recogen webs especializadas en monitorizar el uso de todas las aeronaves adscritas preferentemente a La Moncloa y la Zarzuela: 5 aviones Falcon 900, 2 Airbus A-310 y 2 Airbus A-330.
En concreto, según Presidencia del Gobierno, el primer traslado al país caribeño fue el 29 de enero de 2019, cuando Pedro Sánchez se encontró con el presidente dominicano Danilo Medina, en el Palacio Nacional.
Asimismo, Sánchez viajó a República Dominicana el pasado mes de marzo con motivo de la XXVIII Cumbre Iberoamericana de jefes de Estado y de Gobierno, que aprovechó para hacerlo coincidir con el Foro Regional de Gobiernos Progresistas de la región de América Latina y el Caribe de la Internacional Socialista en el que se reunió con mandatarios afines, usando para ello los recursos públicos.
En total, según ha rubricado Beatriz Rodríguez Pérez, directora de Coordinación Técnica y Jurídica de la Presidencia del Gobierno, se asumen tan solo cinco traslados a República Dominicana para el periodo 2019-2023, además de incorporar las escalas técnicas realizadas en el marco de sus viajes Colombia, Ecuador y Honduras en el 2022.
Sin embargo, Presidencia solo se ha limitado a rendir cuentas sobre los viajes públicos realizados por Pedro Sánchez, sin dar traslado al resto de Ministerios, como en otras ocasiones sí ha hecho, quedando sin despejar la duda de los posibles viajes realizados por otros altos cargos del Gobierno.
La web falcondespega.com resume el uso de la flota oficial, con una abrumadora estadística acumulada desde 2021: 3.425 vuelos, 299 días en el aire, casi 18 millones de euros de gasto en combustible y unas emisiones de CO2 equivalentes a las que liberaría un coche circulando durante 5.451 años consecutivos.
