República Dominicana. – El Ministerio Público anunció este jueves que se archivó de manera definitiva el proceso seguido contra Janel Andrés Ramírez Sánchez, presidente de la Cámara de Cuentas, quien había sido acusado de abuso sexual por dos abogadas empleadas de ese organismo de control fiscal de los recursos públicos.
En un comunicado, el órgano persecutor detalló que se tomó la decisión bajo la premisa de que, según las informaciones y evidencias analizadas, no se configura el delito de acoso sexual, establecido en el artículo 333-2 del Código Penal Dominicano.
La instrucción del proceso estuvo a cargo de los magistrados Fernando Quezada e Isis De La Cruz, procuradores adjuntos de la Procuradora General de la República, Miriam Germán Brito.
Según el documento de prensa, la investigación se inició a raíz de una querella presentada por dos empleadas de la Cámara de Cuentas de la República Dominicana el 29 de septiembre de 2022.
Las abogadas Bella Massiel García Paulino y Virginia Ofelia Correa Jiménez, «actuando por sí mismas» y representadas por otros ocho abogados, hicieron la formal denuncia ante Germán Brito y la procuradora adjunta Yeni Berenice Reyoso.
En su momento, Francisco García, abogado quien lidera el equipo que representa a Bella Massiel y a Virginia Ofelia, explicó a Diario Libre que luego de presentar la denuncia incoarían una querella en la que buscaban que a Ramírez Sánchez se le condene con una sanción penal y también civil.
