El servicio de emergencia iraní informó que al menos ocho personas murieron en las fuertes inundaciones provocadas por las lluvias torrenciales en el sur de Irán.
El representante de la entidad, Mojtaba Khaledi, comunicó que hasta ahora ocho personas han fallecido y dos siguen desaparecidas y agregó que otras 14 habían resultado heridas en las provincias del sur.
Se espera que los aguaceros duren hasta finales de esta semana.
Además, se precisa que la Sociedad de la Media Luna Roja de Irán ha proporcionado alojamiento temporal a 27 personas afectadas por los cataclismos.
Debido al incremento de las lluvias intensas en las provincias del sur, los ríos se han desbordado y han inundado las localidades. El tráfico de vehículos ahora es imposible. Más de 50 localidades están ahora desconectados de la electricidad debido a la rotura y caída de las líneas eléctricas. El suministro de agua también se ha cortado en varias ciudades desde el 3 de enero por 48 horas.
