Convocados por la Confederación Gremial de Transportistas Fuerza Norte, camioneros chilenos iniciaron hoy un paro por tiempo indefinido para exigir más seguridad y una rebaja del precio de los combustibles.
Los transportistas denuncian un aumento descontrolado de asaltos, robos y saqueos a las cargas, con alto riesgo para la vida e integridad de los choferes.
A ello se suma un alza semanal del valor del diésel que les genera pérdidas.
“Necesitamos respuestas concretas. Llevamos desde marzo hasta la fecha en puras mesas de diálogo que no se han cumplido”, señaló el líder de la agrupación gremial, Cristián Sandoval.
La confederación Fuerza Norte surgió hace pocos meses y agrupa fundamentalmente a transportistas independientes de Arica, Iquique, La Serena, Antofagasta y Paine.
A la convocatoria no se sumaron ni la Confederación Nacional de Dueños de Camiones, ni las Federaciones Gremiales de Transporte de Carga, dos de las más grandes del país.
