La Embajada de Rusia en Estados Unidos rebotó a través de una publicación en Facebook, enérgicamente la participación de las autoridades rusas en una serie de ciberataques a instalaciones gubernamentales y privadas en el país norteamericano y otras naciones.
A través de una publicación en su página de Facebook la Embajada rusa escribió: «Negamos terminantemente la participación de agencias gubernamentales rusas en ataques ‘contra instalaciones gubernamentales y privadas en EE.UU. y en el extranjero’. Hacemos hincapié en que la lucha contra la ciberdelincuencia es una prioridad inherente para Rusia y una parte integral de su política estatal para combatir todas las formas de delincuencia. Una amplia gama de instrumentos de aplicación de la ley se utiliza para su implementación».
A inicios de semana, la Agencia de Seguridad Nacional (NSA), la Agencia de Seguridad de Infraestructura y Ciberseguridad (CISA), el Buró Federal de Investigaciones (FBI) y el Centro Nacional de Seguridad Cibernética (NCSC) del Reino Unido publicaron un reporte en el que acusaron a la inteligencia rusa de llevar a cabo una serie de ciberataques en 2019-2021.
«Esperamos que la parte estadounidense abandone la práctica de las acusaciones infundadas y se centre en el trabajo profesional con expertos rusos para fortalecer la seguridad de la información internacional y, en este contexto, en esfuerzos conjuntos para combatir el ciberdelito. Además, es hora de poner las cosas en orden en suelo estadounidense, de donde surgen constantes ataques a infraestructura crítica en Rusia», añadió la misión diplomática.
