Jacob Anthony Chansley, conocido también como ‘QAnon Shaman’ (el chamán de QAnon), fue sentenciado este miércoles a 41 meses de prisión por haber participado el pasado enero en los disturbios en el Capitolio de EE.UU.
Los fiscales habían pedido que el hombre, que se declaró culpable en septiembre de un único delito de obstrucción de un procedimiento oficial, cumpliera 51 meses de prisión, seguidos de tres años de libertad supervisada, así como que pagará 2.000 dólares en concepto de indemnización, informa NBC News.
En un memorando de sentencia, describieron a Chansley, cuyas fotos con un sombrero peludo con cuernos y una lanza se viralizaron en redes sociales, como el «rostro público del motín del Capitolio».
Los denunciantes también detallaron que el condenado, quien promovió la teoría de la conspiración de extrema derecha QAnon , usó Internet para difundir «información falsa y retórica de odio» que encendió los disturbios.
