Las autoridades británicas informaron hoy que dos adolescentes fueron detenidos en el sur de Mánchester por la Policía Antiterrorista del Noroeste del Reino Unido, en el marco de la investigación del ataque contra la sinagoga de Texas perpetrado por el ciudadano británico Malik Faisal Akram.
En un comunicado publicado en Twitter, la Policía de Mánchester indicó que los jóvenes permanecen en custodia para ser interrogados, asimismo, resaltaron que seguirán colaborando en la investigación que llevan a cabo las autoridades de Estados Unidos.
Este sábado, Akram tomó y mantuvo como rehenes durante 10 horas a un rabino y a tres fieles en la sinagoga Congregation Beth Israel de Colleyville. Posteriormente los rehenes fueron liberados y el atacante murió en un tiroteo con las fuerzas de seguridad.
