Se escogió el 26 de julio, porque en este día la iglesia católica celebra la onomástica de Santa Ana y San Joaquín, padres de la virgen María y, por consiguiente, abuelos de Jesucristo.
Por lo general, los abuelos constituyen modelos a seguir en la transmisión de valores, enseñanzas, cultura familiar y amor a las nuevas generaciones.
