La diputada del partido mexicano Movimiento Regeneración Nacional (Morena), María Clemente García Moreno, presentó una iniciativa de reforma para que el trabajo sexual sea considerado como lícito, para que se garantice la seguridad y bienestar social de quienes ejercen este oficio.
La iniciativa fue presentada días después de generar polémica tras difundir en sus redes sociales videos explícitos de actos sexuales.

En conferencia, María Clemente propuso reformar la Ley Federal de Trabajo para incluir este oficio en el catálogo de trabajos especiales.
