El expresidente de Estados Unidos, Donald Trump, pidió al Buró Federal de Investigación (FBI) la devolución de los documentos incautados tras el allanamiento de su residencia de Mar-a-Lago en Palm Beach, Florida.
En una publicación en su plataforma de redes sociales Truth Social, citada por medios locales, Trump reaccionó a un informe de Fox News, que reveló, basándose en fuentes familiarizadas con el asunto, que entre el material incautado el pasado lunes de la propiedad del exmandatario había documentos protegidos por el privilegio abogado-cliente.
«Oh, ¡genial! Se acaba de saber que el FBI, en su ya famosa redada de Mar-a-Lago, se llevó cajas de material privilegiado ‘abogado-cliente’, y también material privilegiado ‘ejecutivo’, que a sabiendas no deberían haber tomado», escribió Trump.
«Solicito respetuosamente que estos documentos sean devueltos inmediatamente al lugar de donde fueron tomados. Gracias», agregó.
Durante el registro, el FBI sacó de la mansión de Trump 11 juegos de documentos clasificados. En total, más de 20 cajas, así como carpetas con fotos, conjuntos de materiales clasificados del Gobierno y al menos una nota escrita a mano.
