El ministro de Asuntos Exteriores de la Unión Europea y Cooperación, José Manuel Albares, se ha reunido con su homólogo en Costa Rica, Arnoldo Tinoco, al que ha trasladado su «apoyo a la democracia» en la región.
En el encuentro de ambos ministros han tratado la presidencia de España en la Unión Europea, así como las relaciones entre América Latina y la UE.
«Encuentro con el ministro de Exteriores de Costa Rica, Arnoldo Tinoco. Contará con la colaboración estrecha de España en sus nuevas funciones. Hemos tratado la presidencia de España en la UE y las relaciones América Latina-UE, apoyo a la democracia en la región, cooperación y comercio», ha señalado este domingo Albares en una publicación en su cuenta de Twitter, recogida por Europa Press.
El ministro español ha llegado este sábado a San José (Costa Rica) junto al Rey Felipe VI para asistir a la toma de posesión del nuevo presidente del país, Rodrigo Chaves Robles.
