El presidente de Colombia, Gustavo Petro, ha pedido perdón a Haití por el asesinato del presidente Jovenel Moïse, ocurrido el 7 de julio de 2021 a manos de exmilitares colombianos.
«Hoy le pedí perdón a Haití por el asesinato de su presidente cometido por mercenarios colombianos», manifestó Petro el miércoles a través de su perfil oficial de Twitter.

El mandatario se encuentra estos días en Nueva York con motivo del 77.º Período Ordinario de Sesiones de la Asamblea General de las Naciones Unidas.
Las investigaciones llevadas a cabo en torno al magnicidio arrojaron la implicación de 18 exmilitares colombianos, la mayoría de los cuales se encuentran presos en la capital haitiana, Puerto Príncipe.
