La Presidencia francesa informó este lunes que el primer ministro de Francia, Jean Castex, ha presentado este lunes su renuncia al presidente del país, Emmanuel Macron.
«El señor Jean Castex presentó hoy la renuncia del Gobierno al presidente de la República, quien la aceptó. Asegura, con los miembros del ejecutivo, la tramitación de los asuntos de actualidad hasta el nombramiento del nuevo Gobierno», comunicó la Presidencia.
El jefe del Gabinete francés abandonó su sede, Matignon, alrededor de 16:00 h (hora local) y unos 20 minutos después se reunió con Macron en el Elíseo.
Según reporta BFM TV, el nombre del sucesor de Castex se anunciará hoy para las 20:00 h.
La renuncia tiene lugar tres semanas después de la reelección de Macron quien ganó el 58,54 % de los votos en la segunda vuelta. Su rival, Marine Le Pen, fue apoyada por el 41,46 % de los electores.
