Un sismo de magnitud 4,6 se produjo este miércoles a las 21:40 (hora local) cerca de la ciudad venezolana de Acarigua (estado portugués), 
Informa la Fundación Venezolana de Investigaciones Sismológicas en su cuenta de Twitter. El terremoto tuvo una profundidad de 2 kilómetros y se sintió en varias zonas del país, incluida la capital.

El Servicio Geológico de EE.UU. sostiene que fue de magnitud 4,8, al noreste de Araure (ciudad cercana a Acarigua), estableciendo el foco a unos 10 kilómetros.
Por el momento, no se ha informado sobre víctimas o daños de consideración a raíz del movimiento telúrico.
