El juego completo de la armadura de hierro consta de más de 2.000 placas individuales en diferentes tamaños y disposiciones, y cada pieza debe analizarse y procesarse individualmente.
Según los investigadores, la armadura perteneció a Murong Zhi, un general de la dinastía Tang.
