La Plataforma en Defensa del Transporte, la agrupación de autónomos y pequeñas empresas de transportistas de mercancías que paralizó anteriormente al país durante dos semanas en la huelga protagonizada el pasado mes de marzo, ha anunciado este lunes un nuevo paro indefinido de ámbito nacional a partir de la medianoche del próximo domingo, día 13.
La nueva protesta se produce por los incumplimientos que a juicio de la asociación convocante se han producido de los acuerdos a los que llegaron las principales asociaciones con el Ministerio Transportes, Movilidad y Agenda Urbana (MITMA) para aliviar la situación del sector y el incremento de los costes por la subida del precio del combustible.
En particular, denuncian la violación reiterada por parte de las empresas que contratan sus servicios de la ley que prohíbe a los camioneros trabajar a pérdidas o por debajo de costes, ante la falta de control en su aplicación por la ausencia de inspecciones.
Los transportistas culpan directamente de este incumplimiento al departamento que dirige la ministra Raquel Sánchez, al que acusan de desentenderse de las inspecciones y desautorizar los controles que hace la Guardia Civil haciendo inviable el cumplimiento de la ley.
La decisión se ha tomado después de que el pasado sábado los delegados provinciales de la Plataforma votaran en asamblea reanudar los paros con un 86% de los votos, tras analizar el grado de cumplimiento de las medidas aprobadas por el Gobierno el pasado mes de marzo en consenso con las organizaciones mayoritarias de transportistas, que componen el Comité Nacional del Transporte por Carretera (CNTC), y del que no forma parte la Plataforma.
