Una explosión sacudió el equipo industrial de petróleo de Balongan, en la región indonesia de Indramay, unos 150 kilómetros al este de Yakarta.

La refinería, se encuentra hubicada en la provincia de Java Occidental, es operada por Petermina, la empresa estatal indonesia de petróleo y gas natural.
La empresa avisó de que cinco personas resultaron heridas en la explosión y unas 950 personas fueron evacuadas debido al incendio.
Dijo que ha cerrado las instalaciones y está llevando a cabo un «control del flujo de petróleo» para evitar una mayor propagación del incendio, que ocurrió en medio de una tormenta.
