Una fiscal de Nuevo México, Estados Unidos, formalizó los cargos de homicidio involuntario contra el actor Alec Baldwin por la muerte de la directora de fotografía Halyna Hutchins, que falleció de un disparo en el pecho durante el rodaje de la película «Rust» en octubre de 2021.
La fiscal del primer distrito judicial de Nuevo México, Mary Carmack-Altwies, ya había anunciado hace casi dos semanas que tenía la intención de imputar cargos penales contra Baldwin, así como contra Hannah Gutiérrez-Reed, la armera y encargada del protocolo de seguridad.
En el escrito de acusación, Carmack-Altwies enumeró este martes una serie de fallos de seguridad y alegó que Baldwin conocía el protocolo, ya que había participado en más de 40 películas en las que se usaron armas de fuego.
Un procedimiento por el que la armera debería haber estado presente para comprobar que el arma era segura y no confiar en el ayudante de dirección, David Halls, porque «no tenía potestad para autorizar el uso del revólver».
