Cerca de 100 habitantes del municipio de Tonanitla, en el Estado de México, incendiaron este martes la estación de Policía local, las instalaciones del Ayuntamiento y tres vehículos oficiales, un auto y dos motocicletas, durante una protesta en la que mostraron su descontento por los supuestos actos de corrupción y abuso de autoridad cometidos por los agentes, informan medios locales.
De acuerdo a los reportes, los hechos se registraron después de que uniformados presuntamente golpearan e intentaran extorsionar a un automovilista que fue detenido. Según se quejaron los habitantes, los policías detienen de manera irregular a los conductores y les exigen un pago de hasta 20.000 pesos (unos 940 dólares) para ser liberados.
