Por su parte, el alcalde de Dinant, Axel Tixhon, a través de una rueda de prensa afirmó que los daños solo son materiales y que «afortunadamente, no hay heridos que lamentar».
Las provincias más afectadas fueron Namur y Brabante Valón, al sureste de Bruselas. Las áreas ya fueron golpeadas la semana pasada, por las devastadoras inundaciones que dejaron 36 personas muertas y siete desaparecidas.
El centro de crisis de Bélgica emitió una advertencia a la población ya que se espera que el mal tiempo dure varios días.
