La Policía Nacional Civil de El Salvador informó el domingo la captura de otros 536 «terroristas», con los que suman 30.506 los presuntos pandilleros detenidos desde que el presidente Nayib Bukele declaró una «guerra» contra esas bandas criminales.
El pasado 26 de marzo, el Congreso salvadoreño aprobó el régimen de excepción propuesto por el Gobierno, que permite la detención de personas sospechosas sin orden judicial. Esta polémica medida, que suspende las garantías constitucionales, fue ampliada el 25 de abril, al cumplirse un mes de su vigencia, por otros 30 días.
